A Prayer |
July 17, 2008 |
We give back to You, O God, those whom You gave to us.
You did not lose them when You gave them to us,
and we do not lose them by their return to You.
Your dear Son has taught us that life is eternal and love cannot die,
so death is only a horizon,
and a horizon is only the limit of our sight.
Open our eyes to see more clearly
and draw us close to You
that we may know that we are nearer to our loved ones
who are with You.
You have told us that You are preparing a place for us;
prepare us, that where You are we may be always,
O dear Lord of life and death.

Miriam & Family,
I love the quote "Faith has to excercised in the midst of ordinary down-to-earth living" and I remember well the feelings I had following the deaths of my family members. I had to continue on and do my daily chores, my normal routine because so many were still dependent on me. We had to move on with our lives and it was then that I began a new routine and quietly said to myself every morning before rising: "God, it is in your hands today and I trust in you completely."
Miriam, I know you have the strength, the love, the commitment, and the faith but do not forget that your father walks with you every day and at your weakest moments his hand lays gently on your shoulder loving you still, proud and protective as the father he continues to be.

Lasting Memories |
November 14, 2006 |
Last memories...there can never be last memories. For the memories we have of the ones we love will always can never end...unless we forget or we ourselves come to an end. When we're asked what is your last memory of your Dad, Sister, Lolo, or Lola...we tend to think of only one or two events or things that we used to do together. And other people around us also remember one or two things that were different from what you remember and so on...so there can never be last memories. Only lasting memories. And that is how Tito Esoy, Daddy, Grace, Lolo and Lola will be remembered, with lasting memories.

Dear Miriam,
I am also thankful to your dad and mom for having given you life. Your life is a witness to the wonderful job they did in raising you.
Our holy mother says, in her Medjugorje's message of Aug 25, 2001: " And do not forget, little children, that your life is as passing as a flower."
My condolences to you and your family on this loss on earth, but my congratulations to your family's gain in heaven, his soul is now forever with the Lord.
love
Rocio
